چکیده

A Fe-0.15C-5Mn-0.5Si-0.05Nb medium Mn steel annealed at 660℃ and 685℃ both exhibited inhomogeneous deformation with Lüders extremely high work hardening rates, but different strain behavior. In-situ neutron diffraction measurements during tensile test were performed to investigate changes in the phase stresses contributed strength of constituent phases, crystal orientation austenite. The role each effect crystallographic on austenite stability discussed. Deformation induced martensite showed excellent stress approximately 1000 MPa, which is close macroscopic strength. Although less strength, stage, it continuously transformed as progressed, suggesting that mainly ductility steels through a transformation plasticity effect. Austenite all orientations deformation, there was tendency for more <311> grains parallel direction remain.

Deformation behavior of duplex austenite and ε-martensite high-Mn steel

Deformation and work hardening behavior of Fe-17Mn-0.02C steel containing ε-martensite within the austenite matrix have been investigated by means of in situ microstructural observations and x-ray diffraction analysis. During deformation, the steel shows the deformation-induced transformation of austenite → ε-martensite → α'-martensite as well as the direct transformation of austenite → α'-mart...

Identification of Retained Austenite, Ferrite, Bainite and Martensite in the Microstructure of TRIP Steel

Transformation induced plasticity (TRIP) steels have a vast application in automotive industry because of theirhigh strength, high ductility and hence excellent energy absorption capacity. These characteristics of TRIPsteels are due to the existence of retained austenite in their microstructures in the ambient temperature, whichtransforms to the martensite phase during deforma...

Microstructure Evolution during Tensile Deformation of a Nanostructured Bainitic Steel

In situ neutron diffraction experiment was used during tensile testing at room temperature to examine the changes on the percentage and texture of both ferrite and austenite in a nanocrystalline bainitic steels transformed at two different temperatures 200°C and 300oC for different times to achieve the same phase percentages. Both samples showed an inadequate capability of austenite to transfor...

Investigation of Transformation Induced Plasticity in High Al–low Si TRIP Steel

This study was conducted in order to investigate the influence of plastic deformation on the transformation of retained austenite in a TRIP steel with a high content of Al and a low content of Si. To the aim, appropriate treatments were used to produce the starting material (TRIP steel). The microstructure of the obtained steel was composed of bainite and phases including ferrite and retained a...

Drawing CCCT Diagrams and Investigation of Deformation Effects on Martensite and Bainite Trabsformations in NiCrMoV Steel

In this study, two CCCT diagrams are drawn to be compared with a CCT diagram. The CCCT diagrams represent continuous cooling transformations in stress assisted state. The increased Md and Bd temperatures of CCCT diagrams were also compared with those of the CCT diagrams and the cause was investigated from both thermodynamic and metallurgical viewpoints. Thermodynamic examinations revealed that ...
